strategy
Nik PaprockiFeb 10, 20268 min readAfter 15 years and more than 100 clients, we've made a decision that might seem bold — we changed our name. WebSuitable, the agency that has been building digital experiences for organizations across Canada since 2010, is now WebKroo.
This isn't a pivot. It isn't a change in ownership. And it certainly isn't a signal that we're walking away from our roots. It's the opposite. This rebrand is the most deliberate thing we've ever done — a reflection of who we've become and a declaration of where we're going.
In this article, we want to share the honest story behind the change: why we outgrew the old name, how we landed on WebKroo, and what stays exactly the same for the clients and partners who trust us with their digital presence.
Same Team, New Name
Every team member, process, and client relationship remains unchanged. WebKroo is the same agency — with a sharper identity.
Built for Scale
The new brand reflects our evolution from local web design shop to full-cycle digital agency serving clients internationally.
No Disruption
All existing contracts, URLs, and project timelines continue without interruption. We're handling the transition seamlessly.
Strategic, Not Cosmetic
This rebrand was driven by positioning strategy — not a desire to look different.
When we founded the company in 2010, "WebSuitable" made sense. It communicated that we built websites that were suitable — functional, reliable, appropriate for the client's needs. It was honest and humble, and it served us well for over a decade.
But as the agency grew, the name started working against us. We were no longer just building "suitable" websites. We were engineering complex web applications, crafting brand identities from the ground up, leading multi-channel marketing campaigns, and consulting as fractional digital officers for enterprises.
The word "suitable" implies adequacy — something that meets the minimum bar. That is fundamentally at odds with how we work. We don't aim for adequate. We aim for exceptional. The name created a perception gap between the caliber of work we deliver and the first impression we made.
Internally, we'd been feeling this tension for years. Externally, prospective clients sometimes assumed we were a smaller, template-based shop — until they saw the portfolio. We decided it was time for the name to match the work.
Naming a company is one of the hardest branding exercises there is. We went through hundreds of options over several months. We evaluated each candidate against a strict set of criteria: memorability, domain availability, phonetic clarity across English and French, visual distinctiveness, and — most importantly — strategic alignment with our positioning.
"WebKroo" emerged from the concept of a crew — a tight, skilled team that works together to build something meaningful. We liked the connotation of craftsmanship and collaboration. A crew is not a factory. A crew implies hands-on expertise, accountability, and shared purpose.
The unconventional spelling was intentional. "Kroo" with a K gives us a distinctive visual identity, a clean domain, and a trademark-friendly name that stands out in search results and conversations. It's short, punchy, and impossible to confuse with anyone else.
We also retained the "Web" prefix deliberately. It anchors us in what we do — digital, web-first experiences — while the new suffix elevates how we do it.
Beyond the name and visual identity, here's what's new:
Everything that matters to our clients remains the same:
To every client who has trusted us over the past 15 years — thank you. You are the reason this agency exists, and you are the reason we had the confidence to make this move.
We didn't change our name to distance ourselves from our history. We changed it to better honor the work we've done together and the work we're going to do next. WebSuitable built the foundation. WebKroo is what grows from it.
If you have any questions about the transition, your account manager is ready to help. But honestly, the only thing you'll notice is that our emails come from a new domain.
This rebrand is not the end of a chapter — it's the start of one. Under the WebKroo name, we're doubling down on what we do best: building digital experiences that move organizations forward.
We're expanding our capabilities in AI-powered design, investing in deeper analytics and conversion optimization, and growing our team to serve more ambitious projects. The name is new, but the mission is the same — to be the most trusted digital partner for organizations that take their online presence seriously.
Welcome to WebKroo. Let's build something exceptional.
No. WebKroo is the same company, team, and agency formerly known as WebSuitable. We've rebranded — not restructured. All contracts, relationships, and commitments continue unchanged.
No action is required from clients. All old WebSuitable URLs, emails, and links redirect automatically to our new WebKroo domains. Your projects and support channels remain the same.
"Kroo" with a K gives us trademark distinctiveness, a clean domain, and a visual identity that stands apart. It's intentionally different — just like our work.
Not at all. Active projects continue on the same timeline with the same team. The rebrand is a business identity change, not an operational one.
All existing contact methods still work. You can also reach us at our new domain — hello@webkroo.com — or through the contact page on this site.
Rebranding after 15 years is not something we took lightly. It required us to look honestly at who we are, who we serve, and how we want to show up in the market. The answer was clear: we needed a name as ambitious as the work we deliver.
WebSuitable served us faithfully. WebKroo carries us forward. The crew is the same. The craft is sharper. And the best work is still ahead.
